Meet Skipper Beckmann, “The Local”
Skipper Beckmann and his family have lived in Roswell since 1993 and have benefited from the exceptional schools, shopping, restaurants, parks, and excellent quality of life in the North Atlanta area ever since. Skipper knows and loves this area!
He’s seen Woodstock grow from a sleepy town to the bustling and walkable city it is now. He’s witnessed Alpharetta’s downtown revitalization, and seen Roswell’s Canton Street come to live with wonderful restaurants and an active community. Skipper and his family take advantage of the plethora of outdoor activities nearby, and especially enjoy braving the rapids at Ocoee River.
It means a lot to Skipper that most of his business comes from referrals or repeat clients. He works tirelessly on his clients’ behalf, offering candid advice so clients understand this complex business. One of Skipper’s goals is to reduce his clients’ stress!
Before becoming a Real Estate Agent, Skipper worked in the restaurant industry for 25 years. He was Multi-Unit Director for Ruby Tuesday, winning the coveted “Best Multi-Unit Director Award” in 1992. He owned his own restaurant in Crabapple; he also opened and managed Ted’s Montana Grill in East Cobb. Skipper considers the restaurant industry the best training ground for customer service—and a great way to get to know your community.
When he made the move to Real Estate ten years ago, he was awarded Coldwell Banker’s “Best New Agent” for his work in Roswell. Skipper believes, “Every client is an individual. We have to really listen to them—to understand what they’re looking for. The most important thing is to get in their shoes. It is only then that you make things happen.”
Skipper is a friend to people from many walks of life. He was proud to serve as the President of Roswell High School’s Touchdown Club and cheer for his two sons on the football field. He’s a University of Tennessee Vols fan, his wife Geri is a Kentucky Wildcat, and his two sons are both Georgia Bulldogs. Skipper jokes that his family has 1/3 of the SEC covered! He serves on both the Greater North Fulton AND Alpharetta Chambers of Commerce, works with Roswell, Inc., and is a regular attendee of the local MeetUp group at Village Tavern.
Through these organizations and his work as a realtor, he’s working to build a better community—for his family and for his clients.
